With Team developed the concept of a sensory map to enhance orientation within the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (MSN) and improve accessibility for diverse visitor groups.

The project proposes an extension of the existing museum map available on MSN's website. A key feature of this concept is the sensory mapping function, which allows users to mark different sensory stimuli (e.g., auditory, visual, and tactile) and overlay them on the museum map. This would enable individuals sensitive to sensory input to better prepare for their visit.

Additionally, the team suggested the creation of a PDF guide for neurodiverse visitors, containing essential information about the museum, informative cards, and a checklist to assist in visit planning.

Although the project remains a concept and will not be implemented, it serves as an example of how museum spaces can be designed with inclusivity and individual needs in mind.

Context:
The Sensory Map project is a conceptual solution aimed at improving the accessibility of MSN for neurodiverse individuals and other visitor groups. Developed as part of an academic course, the project explores new ways to enhance museum navigation through innovative methods of marking sensory stimuli and architectural elements.

Key Project Features:
1. Expansion of the Existing MSN Map – adding detailed markings for windows and doors to improve navigation within the museum space.
2. Sensory Mapping Function – a proposed tool for tagging sensory stimuli (e.g., sound, light, texture) and overlaying them on the MSN map. This system would help sensory-sensitive visitors prepare for their museum experience.
3. Data Updates – a concept allowing real-time updates and modifications to sensory information, ensuring an accurate reflection of the museum environment.

Additional Materials:
The project also includes a proposal for a neurodiversity-friendly visitor guide in PDF format, featuring:
- Basic museum information,
- Informative cue cards for museum navigation,
- A checklist to help visitors prepare for their visit.

Project Status:
This project remains a conceptual study and will not be implemented. It was developed as an exercise in inclusive design and serves as an inspiration for future initiatives aimed at improving accessibility in public spaces.
