"Confusion on the table" is a design project of a coffe table that metaphorically reflects the tension betweenbetween control and unpredictability in material craftsmanship. It explores hands-on, unpredictable experimentation with wood and metal, focusing on the dialogue between structured precision and organic spontaneity.
From observations:
- wood slightly changes dimensions during sanding
- cracks in wood can be a nice decorative element
- when cutting wood, remember about the previously made lamellas
- wood may start to burn when drilling with a plunge chisel for a long time
- for painting wood, you need to choose an appropriate tape that peels off easily and does not leave any glue behind.
